Are we really half way through June?
June has been flying right by us at lightning speed, sheesh! I have come to a point in my life where I have learned to *chill* so the laundry may not always be done, there might be dust on some side tables and gasp, beds might not be made - BUT IT IS OK! Time is so precious when you have little ones and I am going to take full advantage of time right now. I am practicing on being more spontaneous, spur of the moment, fly by the seat of our pants, ha. If something comes up and we still have "chores" we just might finish them later and go spend some time together having fun :) I can see how this sounds a little crazy to some, I mean where is the structure, where is the responsibility? Believe me there is still plenty of that to go around, but it is summer break after all and shirking some house hold duties never killed anyone (that we know of) It is a little hard I am not gonna lie - it isn't all peaches and cream - sometimes it takes a lot of will power to ignore the mess and focus on the fun! We are living in the moment and having a blast. . . . . soon, summer will be over and my kiddos will be one more summer older so we are embracing the togetherness :)
The grocer and I had to run to Twin to grab a few things for the addition and we took the teenager and his bestie Lexi - mostly because she is ALWAYS here :) These 2 kids are so dang fun to have around, it's like a comedy show, they definitely keep us laughing the entire time.
We went camping last weekend with the grocer's family. We took up the 4wheelers and bikes and had yummy food and lots of R & R. It was a nice little getaway - our goal is to try to get away to the mountains every chance we get this summer. It is really a great family time, sans technology :)
The grocer took the teenager and went to a store meeting for a few days in Utah, the girls and I didn't waste anytime packing up and heading to the water park! We came home exhausted and hungry, we stopped at the store grabbed some food, and headed home, we had a carpet picnic and got into bed together and watched Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Roderick Rules. It was such a cute little flick . . .
Not to exclude out newest furry family member . . .Charlie had his 1st vet call. The vet was so gracious to visit us on his route, saving me the hassle of trailer training him :) - Thanks Kelly! Apparently, mosquitoes and equines are super enemies and he needed vaccinated for West Nile ASAP since we live by a canal . . . .weird learning all this horse stuff.
